This is an aerial view of the Dhammayangyi Temple in Bagan, Myanmar (Burma) as seen from a hot air balloon. It is a Buddhist temple located in Bagan, Myanmar. Largest of all the temples in Bagan, it was built during the reign of King Narathu, who came to the throne by assassinating his father Alaungsithu and his elder brother. It is thought that he built this temple to atone for his sins.
